Cat Massagers
If dogs are being specially treated with massage therapy products, than there has to be a line of cat massagers as well. Cats too can benefit from the massage experience.
Many of the massage products available for cats are similar to, or the same as, canine massage tools. Typically they are packaged and sold under the general category of pet massager tools. However, there are still some massage products that are specific to cats.
One unique cat massaging product is a self-massager. It is designed in the form of an arch which is attached to a carpeted base. On the rubber arch are a number of raised rubber teeth that have a massaging effect when the cat rubs itself up against it. The raised surface traps loose hair like a magnet, keeping it off your furniture.
Other cat massagers come in a brush form. In general, cat massage brushes are made from a one piece rubber design that is flexible and bends around the contours of your cat. The easily fit into the palm of your hand, and you just stroke it over the cat’s body like you would another comb. The massager attracts any loose hair and can be easily cleaned.
The device consists of many rubber teeth of approximately ¾ inches in length. With their firm yet gentle design, the massager feels blissfully relaxing. After this, your cat will love being groomed. They are low maintenance and should be available at your local pet superstore.
Ionic vibrating massage brushes are available for cats (and can also be used on dogs). These brushes have a battery operated massage mechanism inside the brush that vibrates while you massage your cat. The vibration is very relaxing and also helps to remove any loose cat hair. The ionic technology in the brush also helps eliminate odors and keep your cat smelling refreshingly clean.
There are also hand-held massagers for cats that are based on the design of human massagers. “Knuzzles” are one such kind of manual cat massager that works on both cats and dogs. They too are made of a flexible, rubber material that will mold to the cat’s body. They have four larger raised nubs that deliver a gentle massaging sensation to your cat, by stimulating nerves and trigger points. The difference between this and the pet massage brushes is that these are used strictly for massage purposes. They don’t have any teeth for combing your cat’s hair.
Pet massage tools are a great way to spoil your cat and make them feel special. They will definitely love you for it! And it’s not just for pleasure and relaxation, cat massagers helps cats live a healthier, active, strain-free life, so remember that pets love massage as much as we do.
