Contraindications of Massage Oil

Please can you send me details of any contraindications of massage oils (olive oil, sesame oil, mustard oil, almond and coconut) used?

Answer:

The main contraindications to massage oils are mainly allergies. You must always ask prior to a massage if the client has any allergies to oils, lotions etc.

A prime example of the contraindications of massage oil is Nut allergies. Anyone allergic to nuts should not have coconut massage oil, almond massage oil, peanut massage oil or even sesame massage oil used as this can have a serious allergic reaction.
