Education Time Frame
Question:I was wondering how long it generally takes to become a certified Massage Therapist? I've already graduated from college with a degree in Industrial Psychology but am looking to broaden my horizons and acquire new skills. Please let me know of a general amount of time it takes to get certified/licensed and please give me a ballpark figure of what the cost would be.

Answer:A ballpark figure is very difficult, since every state, country and province has different requirements for Registered or Licensed Massage Therapists. You may want to contact a school in your area (see Massage Therapy Schools) and investigate the possibility of getting credit for parts of your college degree toward a massage therapy certificate. From there, you will be able to inquire about the length and cost of the program that suits you best.
