Shiatsu Massager

Question:

Recently a friend loaned me their portable massager they purchased at a home show in New Zealand. There is no website for the manufacturer; however, I do have the model details and I wonder if you know of anyone who sells this product?

The massager is Pro-Shiatsu Plus model #9245. It was made in China for Westminster International Inc. If this model is no longer available, do you know of one the same or better?

Answer:

I found a website for the Pro Shiatsu PLUS Massager, which included this description: "The Pro Shiatsu PLUS comes with spring-loaded knob for more even press, air-cooled variable speed motor and clockwise and anti-clockwise switching." The machine seems to be very similar to a shiatsu treatment; even though it's an electric massaging tool.

Shiatsu is a type of treatment that affects the body's qi or energy. When it falls below optimum levels, parts or all of the body will be affected in some way. Regular shiatsu massages keep your body's qi balanced, physically, mentally and emotionally. Massage stimulates blood and lymph circulation, so as to remove waste and toxins from the body and increase the supply of nutrients. Massaging will help relieve long-term muscular problems that cause general aches and pains that are experienced in everyday living.

I am not directly affiliated with any one massage supply company however, the search was very simple, and you may find some links on the Massage Therapy 101 Resources page.
