A qualified massage therapist should have both training and experience, with certification showing the level of achievement. They should:
- Have been trained to the standards defined by the relevant awarding bodies core curriculum.
- Be a member of a professional association and abide by a Code of Conduct and Ethics.
- Be fully insured to practice.
