Answer:

Good career choice and nice to see you are investigating the profession before you attend or apply to school. I am happy with my choice of career because of the help I can provide for others and the flexibility I can get from this type of career. I am independent, but work in conjunction with other professionals; there are numerous career choices to choose from as a massage therapist.

If you want to focus on rehabilitation, you can look into taking additional courses that focus on specific treatments for specific condition. That will open the doors for you to work in a Rehabilitation clinic-type setting.

Relaxation and spa treatments can open the doors to different types of spas or retreat centres.

Pregnancy and infant massage can open another avenue as well, involving labour support, infant massage for colic or even pregnancy related discomfort.

Becoming a registered massage therapist has so many advantages and facets to choose from. But first you need to get the basics and a good educational background is where to start. Once you have achieved that, your doors will begin to open and you will have the choice to choose where you want to focus your career.
